The title says it all, before Crosby, before Sinatra, before Elvis, Rudy Vallee was the first teen idol. Between 1928 and 1939 he had over 70 hits and induced hysteria amongst his female fans. His fame was fuelled by hugely popular radio broadcasts from which many of these selections are taken. A fabulous introduction to an important and long forgotten pioneer of popular music.
