When Alanis Morissette took aim at an ex-boyfriend who had wronged her the scathing lyrics in the song “You Oughta Know” changed music history: everything about this top 10 hit was different from the usual stories about failed love. Nor was it the typical story of a hurt singer wallowing in self-pity. Morissette's major label debut album “Jagged Little Pill” dealt with personal experiences in a decidedly atypical way, sparking a movement whose influence still resonates in mainstream music nearly three decades later. “Jagged Little Pill” was ranked No. 69 on Rolling Stone's list of the best albums of all time and sold over 17 million copies in the US alone and over 33 million worldwide! With 3x diamond, 130x platinum and 3x gold status, it is one of the 20 best-selling albums of all time! In addition, “Jagged Little Pill” received four Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, three Billboard Music Awards and eight Juno Awards. In 2018, the album became the basis for a musical that received 15 Tony nominations on Broadway.

The intimacy, honesty, and catharsis with which Morissette works on “Jagged Little Pill” is astonishing. The double LP box set of “Jagged Little Pill” was remastered from the original tapes especially for this edition at MoFi Studio in California and pressed on 180-gram MoFi SuperVinyl (45 RPM) at Fidelity Record Pressing – using the sonically superior Ultra-Disc One-Step process. Housed in a deluxe slipcase, it features special foil-stamped jackets and faithful-to-the-original graphics that illuminate the splendor of the recording. Originally released in 1995, this masterpiece shines in rich tones thanks to MFSL's One-Step version: Glen Ballard's smooth production comes into its own here with an openness, presence and dynamic explosiveness that make the singer's songs even more haunting. “Jagged Little Pill” transcends generations, genders, and trends, making it a timeless classic that belongs in every serious record collection!
