A member of Diana Ross' band for over 20 years and one of the most respected jazz musicians in the Northwest, pianist/organist/composer George Mitchell gathers together with his longtime musician friends to enter the "Playzone." Besides being Ross's pianist and keyboard player since 1980, Mitchell has played with such greats as Sonny Stitt, Eddie Harris, and Philly Joe Jones. "Playzone" takes this diverse musical background to create a recording that is grooving, introspective and always swinging!
