Gregory Porter

10th Anniversary Orange Vinyl edition

This reissue of Gregory Porter's 'Take Me To The Alley' is not just a celebration of a modern jazz classic - it's a necessary revival for a new generation of listeners. This Grammy Award-winning album, with its soulful depth and timeless themes, 10 years since its first release, continues to resonate as a masterpiece of contemporary jazz and R&B. The inclusion of the Rules Remix of 'Holding On' adds a fresh, electronic dimension, bridging Porter's rich vocal artistry with the vibrant energy of today's dance floors. This remix, already a fan favourite, introduces Porter's music to wider audiences, proving his versatility and relevance across genres. Reissuing 'Take Me To The Alley' with this remix honours the album's legacy while offering something new. It's an opportunity to revisit Porter's powerful storytelling, from the haunting 'Don't Lose Your Steam' to the uplifting 'Fan the Flames', all enhanced by the album's lush arrangements and Porter's unmatched baritone. The Rules Remix not only reimagines 'Holding On' but also highlights the enduring appeal of Porter's music, making it accessible to both longtime fans and newcomers. This reissue is a chance to celebrate an artist who has redefined jazz for the 21st century, and to remind the world why 'Take Me To The Alley' remains an essential listen. It's more than a re-release-it's a reaffirmation of Gregory Porter's place as a voice for our times.
