Roots (25th Anniversary Edition)

Sepultura

Limited edition

Founded in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, Sepultura has been a major force in the groove metal, thrash metal and death metal genres during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Later in their career, their style drew on influences from alternative metal, world music, nu metal, hardcore punk and industrial metal.'Roots' is the band's sixth studio album. It is the band's last studio album to feature founding member and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Max Cavalera. Following the shift to slower tempos and Latin-tinged rhythms on the album 'Chaos A. D'., 'Roots' delves even further into Brazilian musical textures. Both in sound and overall aesthetic, 'Roots' is also a conscious nod to Brazil's marginalized indigenous population and cultures.

This 25th Anniversary super deluxe 5LP box features every track associated with this classic album. It also includes a previously unreleased live at Ozzfest (Phoenix AZ 1996) performance. The set comes in a custom spot-varnished hard box with 3 gatefold tip-on jackets, new custom artwork and THE best fidelity yet for this music. This limited one-time pressing also includes a Sepultura embroidered patch and fold out poster exclusive to this box.
