Set in an alternate America where witchcraft is illegal, hunted sisters Fiona (Abigail Cowen) and Shae (Echo Campbell) seek refuge in the home of a kind stranger, Martha (Elizabeth Mitchell), after their mother is burned at the stake. As the teenage siblings prepare to cross the border and seek asylum in Mexico, Martha's daughter Claire (Gideon Adlon) begins to realise her own magical abilities.
