Midwife Liz Bundy (Fanning)'s life is changed forever when a charismatic new preacher (Pearce) arrives in her quiet frontier town in the Old West. Blaming Liz for the death of a baby she delivered, the preacher begins making her life a misery as he subjects her to a torrent of physical and emotional abuse.

Desperate and alone, Liz is forced to put her life on the line as she bravely attempts to fight back against her evil tormentor. The cast also includes Kit Harington, Carice van Houten and Emilia Jones.
