The Songs of Bacharach & Costello, brings together all of the published songs that Costello has written with Burt Bacharach, celebrating the three decade songwriting partnership between them.

All formats of the release include the newly remastered album, Painted From Memory. In addition, the super deluxe box + 2CD edition contains the new collection, Taken From Life, with unreleased songs from the proposed "Painted From Memory" soundtrack + three newly recorded compositions. The 2LP edition contains select cuts from this collection.

The Super Deluxe edition also includes a bunch of live tracks + a 10,000 word essay by Costello.
