Attorney Roger Patton disappeared after a store robbery and explosion occurred on West 6 Street. Then police captain brought the cold case back on the front burner thinking that the cases might be related. Los Angeles Police Detective Deshiell Darren investigated an old crime scene for DNA trace evidence. His hope was that the cases might be related. He made a discovery, finding a broken iPod jammed in a large crack in the concrete, mostly buried in dirt from someone stepping on it. But, then the detective was sidetracked by a woman.
