The Second Thoughts of an Idle Fellow Jerome K Jerome

"Life is a thing to be lived, not spent; to be faced, not ordered. Life is not a game of chess, the victory to the most knowing; it is a game of cards, one's hand by skill to be made the best of." "The Second Thoughts of an Idle Fellow," published in 1898, is the follow-up to "Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow" (1886), a collection of humorous essays by Jerome K. Jerome, which helped establish him as a leading English humorist.
