Cristine's life is off to a bad start. The father of her child dies, leaving her to raise a son by herself. She gets stuck in a dead-end job as a waitress with a weirdo for a boss and a pile of forgotten plans for life. Daniel has no problem when it comes to money, but the pressure from his parents to lead a specific lifestyle leaves him feeling less than satisfied with his life. To fill this void he unnecessarily buries himself in work. Their two worlds collide. Both bringing something to the table to make each other's lives brighter. Now they just have to get rid of the clingy girlfriend, and the possibly racist mom.
