Vigilance, a step towards building peace is a work of years of writing papers at college as well as observational experience of African societies with special close interest to the situation obtained in Zimbabwe two decades after that country's independence from colonial rule. I have also expressed personal concern on the recent world challenge, that is, terrorism following the 11 September 2001 bombing of the twin towers in the United States of America and the response that issued out of this act from the United States of America and other nations opposed to terrorism. I have also discussed issues to do with human rights from an African perspective. Generally, all the papers in this book were written from two perspectives, that is, philosophical and theological perspectives as the last paper on Sacraments and Liberation Theology stand to witness. All this different collection of papers and use of at least two perspectives save to show that vigilance is a step towards building peace in society.
