In recent times, young girls and some minors from Africa particularly Nigeria have been trafficked to Europe with promises that never get fulfilled; rather they are forced into prostitution. Adesuwa meets Nosa when he rescues her after a violent attack by a rapist. He pays for her sight to be restored and later marries her. When he runs into financial problems, he connives with Itohan to sponsor Adesuwa to Italy for prostitution, lying she is going to work as a housekeeper. She narrowly escapes being killed in Rome by another sexual predator. After recovery, she decides to return home. On arrival, she meets her husband naked in bed with her best friend, Osaro. She feels betrayed, angered, and devastated. She leaves for Lagos to overcome the shock. In Lagos, she meets Segun who falls in love with her and wants to marry her but she refuses. Soon Nosa sends Osaro packing when she informs him she has AIDS. She dies after a long stay in the hospital. Osaro has been a prostitute in Italy, but lies to Nosa she is beautician. However, she agrees to marry segun after repeated pressure after Nosa commited suicide when he discovers he has AIDS. Itohan later gets jailed for her atrocious deeds.
