Kingdom & Positive Parenting Derin Fatola

Every child is born a champion! No child is born a criminal, a drug addict or a loser in life. Mediocrity is never ingrained in any child's DNA. There is greatness in every child! However, it's the responsibility of every parent/guardian to help bring it out through the kingdom and positive parenting. How do you nurture this effectively in these days when children are under such enormous pressures ... identity crisis, bullying, peer pressure, drugs, sexual perversion, rejections and betrayal? Martins and Derin Fatola, the proud parents of two high-achieving teenagers who have won multiple scholarships to some of the most prestigious private independent schools in Canada and yet remained unabashed about their faith, shares the blueprint of their success. This magnum opus from them on parenting, seasoned with many personal testimonies and scriptural references, offers wisdom, encouragement, practical guidance and inspiration for anyone who wants to make the most of this noble responsibility - parenting. In this book, you will discover: -That words are your greatest tools in shaping the future of your children and the transforming power of love. -The wisdom keys for kingdom parenting and why the traditional approach of parenting that involves screaming, yelling and brash hostility isn't working. -The power and importance of communication and negotiation; and the differences between correction and punishment. -Twelve life-lessons that the authors have taught their children that have helped shape their character and focus in life. No matter the setback and challenges you might be facing today in parenting, with the help of the Lord and the application of the principles shared in this book, you can raise the next generation of champions.
