This story was inspired by my son and the amazing student's I work with daily. This heart-warming book was developed to encourage children and people of all ages to applaud their strengths, but also embrace their uniqueness. This book helps students /children discover that it is okay for individuals to look, act, or do things differently than them. This story also helps individuals see the good qualities people possess despite their challenges or differences. This book includes follow-up discussions (teaching right from wrong, the benefits of helping others, and ideas for encouraging kindness), activities to work on language skills such as (answering "wh" questions, antonyms, synonyms, vocabulary, multiple meanings, and understanding idioms), and activities to help build empathy towards individuals who may have challenges.
