A Dire Situation Volume 1 - The Super Doopers David Michael Slater

David Dooper always dreamt of being a superhero, but no matter how hard he tried, he was powerless. His daughter, Cooper Dooper, wants nothing to do with any superhero nonsense, but his son, Little Davey Dooper, tries out for SuperHero School. And it turns out he can turn invisible! But only when screaming at the top of his lungs. Could all the Doopers have unusual powers? David's wife, Doris Dooper, has a strange way of talking backwards. Could that mean she has some kind of odd power as well? David is thrilled, Little Davey is embarrassed, Doris doesn't want to talk about it, and Cooper can't even deal. But when the evil archvillain, Dire, comes to destroy the Dooper's peaceful little town, the entire family must try to save the day. In the silliest possible way. The Super Doopers is a uniquely hilarious early chapter books series about a loving family with bizarre superpowers. Come along for the fun as they do battle with diabolical villains like no other superheroes before them!
