The Ark of Arcadia William L Bracken

The book is the key to free a Stone. Raised in the remote village of Lester, Jason Reach was unhappy with the daily routine of farm life. Fueled by stories from books handed down from generation to generation, read to him by his mother in childhood, he longed for more. After the death of his parents, eighteen-year old Jason sold the family farm. With what few belongings he had, including a mysterious old book written in a language he did not understand, he set off to start a new life in a world struggling to recover from the plague. Together, with his newfound friends, his adventure takes him to places that he never could have anticipated, including quite literally, the end of the world.
