Charlene Boston finds herself on the streets of New York when she is put out of the fancy finishing school she has been attending, because her father stops paying the bill. She knew that her father was somewhere in Arizona, hunting for a lost goldmine there, and had suddenly stopped contacting her. Determined to make enough money to survive and then hunt for her father, she becomes a flapper dancer in a speakeasy, where she runs into Vance, a slick-talking piano player who is determined to sweep her off her feet.
