The 12 Steps have long been the salvation of those suffering from addictions to things like alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Its simple, yet powerful guidance has allowed millions of otherwise hopeless addicts to not only recover but live happy and fulfilling lives. However, what about the average person? The one with no terrible addictions but still living an unhappy and unfulfilled life? The 12 Steps of Christianity was written for those who find their lives, for whatever reason, lacking in meaning and joy; for those living lives of "quiet desperation." While I have no desire to step on the toes of those who founded AA and wrote the 12 Steps, it is my contention that these 12 Steps, when properly utilized, are the very heart of Christianity and the simple but powerful path to salvation, both in this life and the one beyond. The 12 Steps were patterned after the Christian message. These 12 Steps of Christianity will bring the life-changing power of Jesus Christ into a focus that could save your very soul. For those of you who have rejected Jesus Christ, or for some reason discount the claims of the New Testament, I urge you to at least take another look. If it has no meaning, you've wasted a small amount of time; if, on the other hand, you discover Christ and his life-changing power, then, my friend, you will have delivered your soul.
