From Sneakers To Stilettos Adriane M Brown

Written by Adriane M. Brown, a prominent community activist, advisor and mentor to young girls and women, "From Sneakers To Stilettos," is a gripping self-help journal that chronicles her journey to recovery from domestic violence. It highlights practical ways young girls, women, and anybody for that matter can break free and bounce back from the physical and emotional trauma that usually accompanies toxic and unhealthy relationships. While drawing deeply from her personal experience in abusive relationships, the author sets out a 3-week, clear, effective, and simple plan that people can adhere to, and which will guide and help them in their attempt to heal and overcome this prevalent problem that have come to plague a lot of relationships. Also, there are positive affirmations that will help them achieve their goals and she addresses likely obstacles that they might encounter in their quests too. Adriane M. Brown asserts that relationships, whether mutual or intimate have an expiration date and you just have to let them go when the time comes, else they become toxic to you. Drawing inspiration from nature with specific references to the Chinese Bamboo tree and the caterpillar in a cocoon, she compares her life's struggle to the intriguing and intense struggle that both organisms experience in the early stages and before they come to life. Lastly, she likens her travails to the Himalayan Lily that stays in an unfriendly environment for several years before blooming into a beautiful flower. Just like the Himalayan Lily, she's still blooming, standing tall and beautiful to behold!
