My Days of Long Ago in the Old South: A Black Man's Sentiments is an account of what John Thomas witnessed and experienced as a Georgia farm boy. Though more of the people he encountered were good than malevolent, his recollections bring into focus a part of America's history that many of us would like to forget.
Thomas was determined to find his place in the sun despite the indignities he suffered, and find it he did. A retired U. S. Navy man, he is happily married with two adult daughters and two grandsons.
Come reminisce with Thomas about those days of long ago.
