Kindergarten Readers Victoria Kays

This book is specifically designed for Kindergarten teachers. It consists of eighteen small take-home books made to be copied, bound, and sent home for the child to practice reading in order to increase their reading skills. Books for the short vowels, long vowels, consonant digraphs - sh, ch, and th; word chunks - ing and all; R controlled a, and vowel digraphs - ou, oi, and oy (both oi and oy are in one book) are included. Many sight words have also been used. My experience has been children thoroughly enjoy these books. They are simple enough for them to read. This gives them practice with the sounds and sight words. It gives them a sense of accomplishment to know they are able to read a book. This gives them encouragement to continue learning to read. It is my hope that every student will excel in reading.
