Uncommon Angels Malinda S Fasol-Leewright

"Define Christianity in one sentence." The command was meant to be antagonistic, but the Christian smiled pleasantly and said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself." The antagonist liked the response, but remained antagonistic and asked, "What is your occupation?" "My full time occupation is being a Christian." "Just as I thought. You are a preacher," said the antagonist with a hint of a sneer. "No, I am a mechanic, but that is just to pay the bills. My full time occupation is being a Christian." This book, Uncommon Angels, is a boy-meets-girl story. More important, the boy and girl, Scott and Lori, this story is about how Scott and Lori face various tests and temptations faced by teens and young adults today. Scott and Lori face sexual temptations, drug abusers, racists, socio-economic prejudice, abuse of homosexuals, dysfunctional family, a friend's pre-marital pregnancy, peer pressures. This book deals with how Scott and Lori find Scriptural answers to these tests and temptations and how they find strength in prayer. Scott and Lori learn that the only way to find the peace and joy we all need and seek is through living in a way that Christianity becomes their full time occupation. This books helps the non-believer find how God is reaching out to them in His eternal, self-sacrificial love. This book helps Christians find ways to honor and serve God amidst 21st century challenges.
