Dangerous Exploits: (1683 -- William Penn Colony Adventures) Jo Nell Russell 第1 版

Dangerous Exploits is a fast-paced novel. It will keep you flipping the pages to find out whether Katherine Anne Carrolton, a fugitive turned school mistress, snags Dr. Patrick O' Ferral, a seventeenth century "sawbones" in the William Penn Colony. Both consider themselves possessing high morals, but the reader soon finds out that they suffer from some common vices that have plagued the ages. Both Katherine and Patrick share an eight-day coach ride from Boston to Philadelphia. The reluctant party in an arranged marriage gone sour, Katherine has discovered that her husband has been granted a divorce from the Massachusetts Bay Colony Assembly on the grounds that she has a sterile womb. Katherine finds out the divorce was instigated only weeks after her father's death. Katherine makes a payroll heist from Barbee Brewery and Distillery and runs! What she thinks will be a simple coach ride morphs into incredible adventures and cultural seduction. Katherine arms herself with scriptures via the The Holy Bible as the puppeteer Satan pulls the strings on the villainous characters within the book.
