Simple patterns for lap quilts are provided in a well organized format. These patterns are perfect for quilts to be donated to charitable causes, but also make wonderful gifts. Patterns can be expanded easily to make larger quilts. Many of these patterns work with two or three fabrics OR a bag of assorted scraps. These patterns have been tested by members of the author's quilt guild. Quilts are approximately lap size (42 by 50 inches) but can be easily expanded by adding blocks or borders. Basic quit making instructions with explanatory drawings assist the novice quilter. Each pattern includes an easy-to-use table of fabric requirements and cutting instructions. Suggestions are provided for using scraps, additional fabrics, or alternate block/color layouts for many of the patterns.
