Honey, It Won't Come off Alma Hebel Haglund

I'll tell you the story of Blockley.

You'll get to know

How she began as an Almshouse.

And then you will watch her grow.

See how it got started in "Philly"

She faced a number of wars.

Diseases and indigent workers

Passed through her welcoming doors.

You will meet people who loved her

Benjamin Franklin was involved.

You will live the lives with the nurses

Who walked those long gray halls.

Words from patients and workers

Will thrill your heart

Until sadly you learn that

Blockley has fallen apart.

Her death leaves many a heartache

No one can ever heal

But our love leaves joyful memories

No one can ever steal.
