ECO-LEENA Goes to Washington is a fun-filled children's picture-book about a little alpaca girl who goes on trips with her mother to teach children about protecting the environment and how alpacas contribute as eco-friendly animals (camelids). She invites children to discover why alpacas are so important and popular throughout the world and in the U. S. Eco and her alpaca friends live, play, pronk, and take naps on Colonel Carter's Alpaca Farm in Virginia. She learns to care for others, get ready for bedtime and stay away from strangers. On this trip, Eco-Leena stops by the White House and is greeted by "First Girls," Malia and Sasha, along with their dog Bo! This is the first stop by Eco-Leena in a series of her travels to enlighten America on protecting the environment and their children. Children have asked their parents to visit an alpaca farm on annual "Farm Days" after reading this delightful story.
