THE WRONG PLACE, THE WRONG TIME, THE WRONG CROWD, THE WRONG MOVES. To randy it seems impossible that short weeks ago he was happy, involved and going places. Now, with a less-than-brilliant new stepmother, a move to the East Coast, and a few crucial mistakes to his credit, he's trapped in a situation he can't escape. Jake and his gang of bullies have fingered him as an easy mark. Why? He has access to something they want. And they know how to make him get it. Randy is angry at his father for cutting him off from everything back home. Still, he doesn't want to betray him by bowing to the pressures of a gang. When it seems there is nowhere to turn, help comes from an unexpected source. But Randy needs to face some hard truths about the present and his past before he's ready to except it.
