A Brewerytown Kid Grows Up...Some More! Michael J Contos

One man's life-and a lifetime of stories.

A Brewerytown Kid Grows Up... Some More! had its humble beginnings as stories from blog posts but soon became one man's catalog of boyhood life in Philadelphia and a working-class neighborhood, courtroom trial stories as a tenacious trial attorney, and a Vietnam War veteran and PTSD survivor. Michael J. Contos is a former reporter nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. Now, he wants to pass down his stories to his granddaughter, detailing the challenges he has faced and the accomplishments he has achieved in his long and colorful life.

Fans of poignant memoirs such as Tobias Wolff's This Boy's Life will love this truthful and funny foray into history as Contos masterfully recreates some of his most memorable moments in this page-turning, instant classic.
