Prommer & Barck is the new project of Christian Prommer and Alexander Barck. Joining forces to produce a journey to the roots of their past productions and a look into their vision of eclectic club music; Deep Kraut Music from Berlin via Chicago, Köln, Detroit to Munich. But the track 'The Barking Grizzle (Detroit Berlin)' is very much a call and response to the enviroment of todays dance music. "The vocal "Detroit/Berlin" is an homage to the two cities most influential in dance music right now." It should be no surprise that DJ Hell should jump all over this record for release on Gigolo. The collaboration between our protagonists started back in the 90's with Jazzanova and the Trüby Trio. Prommer and Barck continue with this new project doing what they do best: the sample hunting and genre mixing. Alexander Barck is one of the best Djs and a music hunter extraordinaire. The preferred DJ of, none-other, then Gilles Peterson, Barck travels the globe as a Dj, producing amazing music with his group Jazzanova. Having produced two genre-defining albums and blessed the audience with many remixes, that changed the remix game itself, Barack also found time for his label Sonar Kollective, redefining the term NuJazz and bringing the spirit of inspiration and vision back to the A+R. Christian Prommer is a producers of electronic music with a background as a musician; a multi instrumentalist who can create a club-track. His own Drumlesson project brought Jazz and Techno together across two exciting albums. Many tracks and remixes under his own name prove that he is not just a master behind the console but also able to tour the world with his various live projects as a drummer, percussionist and performer.
