(AVAILABLE NOW) These four played for the first time together on a wintry evening in Cologne, the line-up being Frank Gratkowski (alto sax, clarinet, bass, contralto clarinet), Herb Robertson (trumpet, coronet), Simon Nabatov (piano, e-bows, cracklebox), Dieter Manderscheid (double bass). The musical interconnections inside of this ensemble are manifold. With all this in place, they celebrate their first meeting with four musical discourses, often subtle, at times fiery, and always fascinating to follow.
