The first time Steve was truly inspired to pursue music was when he heard Cat Stevens singing and playing acoustic guitar to hits such as Hard-Headed Woman and Wild World. He was in his mid-teens when he began singing and playing the songs of the 70's like James Taylor, John Denver, Bread, The Eagles, Bob Seger, and others. After several years of partying and living what he thought was the glamorous life, he realized that every high was always followed by a low and each low was successively worse than the one before. It didn't take long to realize that there had to be more in life than just partying. Back in the summer of '79, Steve had his first encounter with the Lord. In a moment of great despair while contemplating suicide, he cried out to the Lord in repentance and suddenly was filled with complete joy. Soon afterwards, education and music took on a more prominent role in his life. While attending Trevecca Nazarene University, he met and married his wife, Amy. They immediately started singing together. A year and a half later they had their first daughter. Three and half years after that their second daughter came along. Steve has been given the gift of home-schooling their two daughters while composing music. Amy is in the Air Force, which has enabled them to minister everywhere they have been stationed. God has used Steve's musical talent in the form of special music and on Praise & Worship teams all along the way. In 1995, the Miller family went on their first concert tour ministering to the body of Christ. Upon their return to Virginia, Steve started a band called H.I.S. (Honor In Serving). For 4 years they played in churches, coffee houses and festivals. For many years, others have been asking Steve when he was going to record an album. Through divine connections, God directed him to Brian Ball who started the process of recording his first album, 'His Will Is Coming'. Steve's desire to sing about relationships and how to have a personal relationship with God has been the driving force behind this production.
