Beethoven Meets Cuba Klazz Brothers / Cuba Percussion

Following on from the global success of their album "Mozart meets Cuba", which was one of the best-selling albums marking Mozart's 250th birthday, the Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion have dedicated their twelfth album entirely to Ludwig van Beethoven, whose 250th birthday will be celebrated across the world of classical music in 2020.

Beethoven's oeuvre seems so compact and so inherently cohesive, giving the impression that nothing more could be added to it. Yet on its very first album "Classic meets Cuba" the quintet demonstrated by means of a movement from the "Pathétique" Sonata that it is altogether feasible to skilfully meld Beethoven's music with Cuban rhythms, and over the years their ensuing successful albums have featured other similar arrangements. The Klazz Brothers have further developed and modernised their stylistic diversity; on the new album there is an increased use of pads and synthesisers, played in a skilfully melodic way by Bruno Böhmer Camacho
