Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth and Cleopatra Coleman star in this sci-fi horror written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg. Seeking inspiration for his next novel, writer James Foster (Skarsgård) travels to a luxury holiday resort on the island of Li Tolqa with his wife Em (Coleman). Their relaxing vacation takes a turn for the worse when they are involved in an accident and James is sentenced to death.

However, he is offered the chance to escape his grim fate by paying for a clone of himself to be created and executed in his place. Horrified by the ordeal, Em chooses to return home, leaving James free to indulge in wild acts of violence with like-minded Western tourists.
