Ubisofts Imagine range creates titles that are aimed specifically towards girls aged between six and fourteen, and Imagine Girl Band is part of that range. Players can put together their own band, create new music using the group and rise up the charts with their new hit singles. Each of the players band mates can be altered and customised to match in style, and each member can be set to a particular instrument. Each instrument included has its own unique style of play and its controls are matched to this.

Once the band has been put together and their music has been created, players can earn money from their work and hopefully increase their popularity. This will help earn popularity points, which can be used to sign a valuable record contract for the band.
