Life is a precious miracle, even when that life is lived in the harshest of circumstances.

Lola walks the path. She has walked for so long that it is all that she knows. She places one foot in front of the other and she moves on through the world and this is how she survives.

This is how she lives.

Then she meets a stranger and everything changes.

Diana is intent on making her way along the path to fulfil her destiny and at first Lola is a mere distraction, but as their journey progresses, their bond grows and they learn more about themselves and the barren world that threatens death every step of the way.

Two loners, grown used to their own company, over time they realise that they need each other and that they cannot reach the end of the path unless they do it together.

What awaits them at the end of the path, and will it be a shared destiny?

Or will it be a reckoning?

A coming of age adventure in a dark, dystopian future set not all that far from today...
