Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-She, subtitled An Adventure Story, is a novel by the English writer H. Rider Haggard, first serially in The Graphic magazine from October 1886 to January 1887. She was extraordinarily popular at launch and has never been out of print . The story is a first-person account that follows the journey of Horacio Holly and his protégé Leo Vincey to a lost kingdom in the interior of Africa. There they meet a primitive race of natives and a mysterious white lady named Ayesha who reigns as the almighty "She", or "She-who-must-be-obeyed". In this work, Rider Haggard developed many of the subgenre Lost World conventions, which many later authors emulated. She stands firmly in the imperialist literature of England in the 19th century, and inspired by Rider Haggard's experiences in South Africa and British colonialism. History expresses numerous racial and evolutionary conceptions of the late Victorians, especially the notions of prominent racial degeneration and decline during the turn of the century. In her figure, the novel mainly explores themes of female authority and female behavior. She has received praise and criticism alike for her portrayal of women. A young Cambridge University professor, Horace Holly, receives a visit from a colleague, Vincey, who reveals that he will soon die. Vincey proceeds to tell a fantastic holly tale of his family heritage
