Life as she knows it will never again be the same for Shannon Macmillan. Determined to change her future, Shannon dumps the bad influences that have ruled her life for the past fifteen years and attempts to make amends to those she's hurt. Although she realizes it won't be easy, with Mrs. Dooley's help and Dot's forgiveness, Shannon feels like she can accomplish anything. When Lance offers her a chance at a job interview in Dallas, Shannon jumps on it, hoping it's a step in the right direction towards doing something with her life. What she doesn't realize is that Lance isn't really a police officer and the job in Dallas isn't exactly what it seems.
