Two years have passed since Adrian Pent's sudden fall into the mysterious world of Cinraia. Though he's fought and won against the dark magic that threatens this new world, he discovers that the work of a Crusader is never done. Pent has pursued a life more fulfilling than any he could have dreamed of in his own world, but he laments those he has left behind. Pent has helped Chief Lyle expand the reach of her village, Somerville, but not everyone is happy to see the southerners forge their own path.
