This story tells us the events that occurred to bring Selena Bogs, and John Echo together. What could have happened for everything to align this way? Everyone involved has nothing but bad luck from the beginning, but is there a reason? Sarah is a well renowned therapist, treating patients with severe mental illnesses. An unfortunate event of being violently attacked by one of her patients after hours spirals downhill fast. A few towns over the D. I. S are handling a case exactly like it, and after hearing the news they jump on the case. Sarah's best friends, Claire and Michelle just want to keep their friend safe, but D. I. S has different plans. The patient can't tell the difference between his victims and his late wife, and is a master mind at blending in. Doc, Cap, Chief, and Shrink are the members of D. I. S, although none of them actually treat Doc like a member of the team, until he puts his entire life on the line to crack the case. Even once the patient is caught, the bad luck doesn't stop for any of these character.
