In 2012, 3D animated action-packed, family-friendly American movie was critically acclaimed and commercially successful as soon as it was released. Packed with fantastic layered characters such as the rebellious villain, the ever-growing good guy, the sassy and talented princess racer, the soft sharpshooter, and so on, the movie grew into a franchise after its sequel was released in 2014. Wreck-It Ralph tells the story of a rebellious villain stuck inside a titular arcade game who wants to be liked and adored as a hero. Ralph travels across the arcade games and finally faces an ultimate threat that would possibly have severe consequences on the entire arcade. A threat that was created and one that he might have been the one responsible for. Watching Ralph pace between the line of goodness and his previous destruction for the sake of playing his assigned role is simply marvelous. He's a great protagonist and the deuteragonists of Felix and Vanellope only add more interesting themes and relationships to the movie. It is pretty thought-provoking for an animated movie usually dismissed as a children's movie.
