An Innocent Decesion R Scott Hill

I wonder how many people can track their life back to an innocent decision that changed things forever. I am sure there are folks in jail or prison that say, if I had not done this... That's not what I am talking about. I am talking about something as simple as making a left turn instead of a right. I did something about as simple as this, and I can trace all of my misfortune back to that single decision. Essentially I laid the first stone of a highway to which I could not exit. As you read, I am sure you will see many ways I could have taken a different path, but for me at the time, I made the decisions best I knew how with the ground work that I had laid. It took years if misery to realize where it had all went wrong, but eventually I faced the facts. By then so many things had been done that could not be undone, there was little left to do, but to try and ride out the storm. Now I am old and retired and I can look back and see it as clearly as looking through a window. All that I can do now is wonder what might have been because nothing can be changed.
