When Doug was injured playing professional hockey in Germany he decides it's time to go home to Kamloops and reconnect with his family. The second oldest of seven means he's got a lot of reconnecting to do. When he gets home he finds one brother with a kid, another married and his one and only sister pregnant and living with a biker. WTF Batman! Life sure got interesting while he was away. Falling back on his degree in Education he lands a job as a PE teacher at a high school in the city but has to intern for a semester before he can fully take the position. Walking into the school to find the teacher he would be working with leaves him knocked for a loop. Jen is not happy to have a student teacher. Especially since she had no time to prepare for it and the jock that walks into her classroom is not what she needs to deal with. Even with all her logic and brains she can't resist Doug and his charm and hard muscles. But she really should, shouldn't she? When her family arrives to drag her back to the respectable world of finance where she belongs she turns to Doug to help convince her family that she is happy teaching and that is where she belongs.
