In this novel the state of play is exposed to the core from the very start. It is clear who is attacking and by which means and who is on the defense and how. It is also evident that a final battle is to take place as Satan is attacking the last remaining human enclave on the planet. In the unbelievably dramatic unraveling of the novel's plot, the number of targets under attack peters out, leaving the sole surviving family on the planet as the victim. The final element of resistance is concentrated in the last surviving human being.
