The Dark That Shines is a fictional coming-of-age novel. It is told through the eyes of Florian, a boy who is reflective, and dramatic in nature. During the twenty-year timespan of the book, Florian meets beautiful and memorable characters, he lives in fanciful cities adorned with symbolism, and from many profound moments, he grazes against the nerve of reality. Will he break? Or will he make sense of this dark world?
