Come take a journey with Nakeita and witness the experiences of her pains. This young lady will endure multiple struggles, as she journeys through life's challenging circumstances. While living in a single parent home, without the comforts of her father, she has to face life and cruelty head on. Her mother, Ebony, does the best she can to raise Nakeita out of wedlock. She tries to give her the best that life has to offer. Unfortunately, there's a key-element missing from Nakeita's life; her father. Growing up without her father, Nakeita figures that life gives her the misconception that she can seek a father-figure in every man she encounters. As Nakeita carries the weight of the world around on her shoulders, she will eventually learn that some burdens are too impossible for one person to carry, let alone a child. She also learns that life is definitely no wonderland for an adolescent girl. As Nakeita journeys through life's struggles, her father, Darrel, has to fight demons of his own. As he tries to survive twenty-five years in the federal penitentiary, his baby girl becomes prey to street predators. Though Darrel is wise enough to know, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, the most important question that has to be answered is; does this mantrap apply to Nakeita as well?
