Sustainability - Simplified: 2020 has been a challenging year for all but it has highlighted the need to ensure that our future is integrated with sustainability. Economic, Social and Environmental issues need to be integrated into all we do. Whilst an "island" is defined as a piece of land surrounded by water, an island is an isolated ecosystem that is dependent on the water that surrounds it but also on the global environment. With so many diverse islands, the potential solution considerations are varied. For this book, the region of New Zealand and Pacific has been chosen because of its geographical proximity, its varied conditions and the connected history and cultural development. This book will expand on the concepts discussed in Book 1 and hopefully allow readers to further appreciate the differences between islands and the complexity of assessing the impacts of the different needs. These islands are affected by both local and global trends, particularly in regard to environment, economics and heritage / culture. ALL LIVES MATTER ALL ENVIRONMENTS MATTER and Together change in attitudes are possible.
