She began her career as a teacher of Language Arts and Visual Arts and has worked as a florist, copywriter, proofreader, and gallery assistant. Her watercolors have won awards. Her art is showcased at Desert Artisans Gallery in Tucson, AZ, where she lives with her husband John, two rescue dogs, a cat, and various native wildlife.
