Haunted cars and bewitched bakeries are just another day in Ashwood Falls, New Hampshire. Rachel McDaniel is the heir to a small but mighty witch's coven in the middle of the small New England town. The descendent of several powerful witches, she has been tasked with something so difficult, it has killed every other woman who has attempted it before: defeat the fearsome Leviathan that comes through the portal set to open Samhain night. She fears her ability to defeat the beast as well, struggling over every line of the incantation and wondering if she has the strength to do what is needed to save not only herself but potentially the whole of the world. It isn't until she learns a terrible secret that Rachel finds something even more dangerous than the Leviathan. It will take more than a little magic and courage to defeat that monster and the other ones lurking outside. She must enlist the aid of her ex and that of the Spirits beyond the realm of the living to help, and learn to discern who her true enemies are. If she fails, it will be more than just her life at risk!
