Stanley Schmidt was concerned when Angie, his estranged daughter, invited him to supper. What was wrong? What did she want? During supper it didn't take long to find out. Still, he didn't know if he would or should help her. Driving home to Enid, he is struggling with mixed emotions about his only child and also dreading the conversation with Evelyn. What would she think about his helping the daughter that she had never met? It was a dilemma! As the story unfolds Angie struggles with many dilemmas of her own.
